A-GENE - FISH DEMONSTRATION VERSION.
------------------------------------
**********************************************************************
* *
* CAUTION: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RUN A-GENE BEFORE YOU READ THIS FILE *
* *
**********************************************************************
This demonstration version of A-Gene is a complete version of A-Gene
v4.18 except that it is limited to 200 persons/70 marriages in the data
base and has the screen dump/on line help screens and the ability to
operate from a RAM disk disabled.
You should read the documentation file "Instructions" to discover
all the abilities of this program, however the following Set-Up
instructions will get you started:-
SETTING UP A-GENE
-----------------
This demo version of A-Gene can be run using your normal workbench disk
as long as you copy the files in drawers "A-Gene/fonts" and "A-Gene/c"
to your workbench disk. Clicking on the Install icons will do this task
for you.
1. N.T.S.C. Users
-----------------
Click on the Install.NTSC icon - This will set up A-Gene to run on an
interlace screen - due to the number of screen lines required, A-Gene
can not be run on a non-interlace NTSC screen.
The install program copies the A-Gene fonts directory into the fonts
directory of your workbench disk, and checks to ensure that certain
files are in your C: directory and copies them if they are not there.
You will require about 45k of disk space on your workbench disk for
these files.
2. PAL Users
------------
European/Australasian users with PAL monitors will be able to run A-Gene
in a non interlaced display due to their larger screen display. Clicking
on the Install.PAL icon will set up the program to run in non-interlace
mode and will copy the required files as above.
